Emily Klinzing-Director
Miss Emily has studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop,
lyrical, and modern dance at various studios
growing up such as Moves, Salt Creek Ballet, Lou
Conte Dance Studio, and Bryant Ballet as well as
summer intensives including Jazzart, River North
Dance Company, and Melissa Thodos Dance. During
that time she trained under many well-renowned
instructors including Melissa Thodos, Homer Bryant,
Frank Chavez, Terry Fox, Kim Farrah, Paula Frasz,
Maureen Kilmer, and Van Collins. She obtained a
Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance from
Arizona State University where she studied
modern, ballet, pointe, and jazz. She has
performed with the Concert Dance Company,
DART (Dance Arizona Repertory Theatre), and Rasa
Dance Theatre. Since 2001 she has been teaching
at multiple dance studios in the Chicagoland
area as well as College of DuPage. She has been
the DanceQuest Director since its inception in
February of 2006.

Olivia Doeringsfeld-Instructor
Olivia studied ballet at Lisa Boehm’s School of
Ballet in Elgin beginning at the age of 8. She
danced various roles in the annual Nutcracker at
the Hemmens Auditorium including Arabian,
Spanish, Snow and Waltz of the Flowers to name a
few. She continued her studies in Chicago
training at Lou Conte’s Dance Studio, Homer
Bryant’s School of Ballet (CMDC) and also
studied on scholarship at Joel Hall’s while
taking summer intensives with River North Dance
Company. She performed in various modern pieces
for seniors of Columbia College and worked as an
independent contractor performing in
advertisements for Elizabeth Arden and helped
promote various artists within the Chicagoland
area. She has managed the dancewear store
Motion Unlimited, of Chicago, for the last 10
years where she became a professional pointe
shoe fitter. She is excited to bring her love
of dance to children and adults alike, as she
believes that any student who studies dance will
use their training to enable themselves in a
positive light throughout any experience within
their lifetime!

Kalah Davies-Instructor
Miss Kalah
brings amazing energy and enthusiasm to
DanceQuest. She has been dancing since she
was 3 years old and specializes in jazz, hip
hop, lyrical, and ballet. She has
performed in the Nutcracker and has competed all
over the U.S. in various styles of dance.

Melissa L.-Instructor
Miss Melissa
has been dancing for 18 years and teaching for 8
years. She has trained in ballet, tap,
jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. While
in high school she was on the varsity dance team
for three years at Waubonsie Valley High School.
Melissa has enjoyed teaching dance local
studios, fitness centers, and park districts in
the Chicagoland area. She has studied
early childhood education and is currently a
Pre-K instructor at a YMCA. She has worked
with children in many forms of fitness and dance
for over 8 years. She loves working with
children of many ages and exposing to the world
of dance.

Heather Lucas-Instructor
Heather Lucas has competed professionally and
pro-am in the ballroom world for over 10 years.
She has won national and regional titles. After
owning her dance studio in Springfield, MO, she
moved to Illinois. She has been teaching
Ballroom and Latin dance classes for over 20
years. Her experience is a great asset to the
DanceQuest program and she is ready to get
Plainfield on its feet and dancing!

Elisabeth Geib-Instructor
Miss Elisabeth is a DanceQuest alum! She
has trained in dance and teaching with Miss
Emily for 6 years and studied at Von Heidecke
where she performed in the Nutcracker, State
Street Dance Studio, and Faubourg School of
Ballet. She loves
working with children and has proven her
impressive teaching abilities at workshops, birthday parties, recitals, and dance
camps. She has trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz,
hip hop, lyrical and pom dance.
